Happy Friday! Anyone else feel like March breezed right along? Phew. Spring break is just about in full swing, bringing early spring sales right along with it. So, let’s just jump right in…
Laura rag & bone ponte pants are currently 30% off at Nordstrom in a really pretty, muted shade of navy (they’re calling it ‘Salute‘) — and they’re well worth the investment. They’re not only great for the office, but for date-night outfits and everyday styling, too. Wear with any sort of fun top for a dinner out (Laura’s cool halter is sold out, but this one from Quince is similar — not on sale, but under $40), or pair with a go-to boxy tee to keep it casual (this one’s 30% off at Madewell with code: FORYOU).
The 5 Best Sales This Weekend
- Anthropologie – Extra 50% off final sale. Spotted: flare pants for the office through happy hour ($50 at checkout), the prettiest floral print top for spring ($40 in cart), and this special white top to elevate a jeans-outfit (under $50).
- Athleta – 30% off select styles, including the Brooklyn wide-leg pant (great for work and travel) and Laura’s Brooklyn joggers (lightweight enough for summer, under $70).
- Gap – 60% off select styles, for a limited time only! Top picks include: Linzi’s wide-leg jeans ($35!!), these cool pinstripe carpenter jeans (just over $30), and this crochet sweater in the powder blue color (great for layering, just over $30)
- J.Crew – Up to 50% off the Annual Spring Event. This one-piece (under $60) has been a team fave year after year and silk camis like these (50% off) are always a good bet, especially on sale. Also, this PJ set is in my cart (under $40, in ‘French Blue‘… so pretty).
- Saks Fifth Avenue – 25% off the Friends & Family sale, now extended through 4/1! Julieta’s stunning Farm Rio maxi dress is under $200 and Laura’s grabbing these mid-rise wide leg jeans. And I know winter is over but… I’m in LOVE with these Moon Boots. Snap ’em up for next year, yeah?
More sales below! Happy weekend…

Andy & I took the kids to a waterpark resort for a few days this week. Although we were supposed to be in Texas for their spring break, we wanted to stick closer to family. It was a great distraction and gave us time to “get away from it all” without actually having to travel that far. We ate deliciously unhealthy food, drank frozen margaritas by the pool, relaxed in the lazy river, and went down water slides over and over and over again. We ended our vacation with a “fancy” dinner…we told the kids it was a special treat and asked them to be on their best behavior. They did SUCH a good job…we had great conversation, they tried all the food we asked them to (G discovered she likes beef carpaccio and Ozzie is now obsessed with arugula and lemon), and no phones were needed! Ozzie lost his s%&t the very next time we went out to eat, of course, but for the fancy dinner he did great. Go figure. 🤣
As far as sales, Walmart must have gotten wind of Sephora’s Savings Event or something (coming soon!), because they have a TON of awesome beauty deals right now…including OVER $200 off the Dyson dryer (I swear it saved my hair after bleaching and extensions left it fried), and my favorite hair styling tool (L’ange Le Duo–straighten or wave hair), dry shampoo (Living Proof, reviewers love it too!), and go-to shampoo & conditioner set (Olaplex–over $70 off!) are all on crazy sale. Thank you, Walmart?? 🙌
Happy Easter, everyone! 🐇
Jeans (28), Tank (s) | Jacket (xs)
ONE: I tried J.Crew’s high-rise superwide-leg jeans on as a joke at first (they looked HUGE on the hanger), but…I liked them! They snatched in the waist and that wash is perfection. They’re somehow baggy yet polished at the same time…and J.Crew’s Spring Event has a ton of great deals! Also wearing: Blazer (4)
TWO: This supersoft jacket is not only back in stock (it sold out crazy quickly last year), but is on sale for over $40 off right now. I love this one…the fabric, the drape, the cropped length…so good! (On sale for even less at Nordstrom, but only a few left!)

Here we go, yo. It’s Friday! What a whirlwind of fun this week has been. Our friends hosted a bazillion of us and our kiddos at their beach houses last weekend into this week at the Oregon Coast. It reminds me that we have the best community here in our little slice of Portland. And not just because they have or rent beach houses to share LOL…we have THE freaking best people around us and after the past years we’ve all been through? I’m SO here for it.
Now for less sappy…sales! I’m in the mood to peruse Anthropologie’s 50% off sale section right now for some inspo. The weather is gray, gray, gray so I need a little springy online boost. The Free People Moxie jeans we all adore are on sale in gray here (not quite the spring boost I need BUT gray denim is big for this year! And why not own 4 pairs of the same jean? heh.) Lastly, these rad Jordans on sale at Nordstrom…I need them in my life. Probably to jazz up the gray jeans! See what happens here…
Happy Easter to all those who celebrate. We have Pinky’s fam coming to town and I’ll be celebrating by making my step-grandmother’s cheesy potato casserole with cornflakes on Sunday! xoxo
Jacket (M) | Jeans (29)
ONE: This great longline Zella quilted jacket is finally on sale in this pretty eggshell color. Talk about something fresh for spring…I’m loving the tone-on-tone look to bright up my outfits these days without having to dive directly into color quite yet. I feel like I need more sun for color, but this jacket is an amazing weight for Spring. So cute, comfy and perfect over leggings to-and-from a workout. TTS. Wearing a M. | Similar pants
TWO: These amazing midrise AGOLDE jeans are on sale at Saks for $80 off in a pretty lighter blue wash. Ordered. They fit so well and are so comfy because…not high-waisted. They hit right below my belly button and are super cute on the butt, too. Important. They’re among the jeans I’m trying to decide on for spring in an upcoming article AND I can cuff them like I’m digging right now. Being on sale sure helps that decision-making because the fit is so good.

I know it’s routine that when you first put your kid in daycare/preschool you get a trial period, so to speak, of accumulating every virus and sickness on planet earth, but dammit if I’m not OVER IT already. Everyone keeps telling us it only lasts the first year (!!) and then we’ll be golden, but, like, I’m ready to be the exception to that rule, haha. Sigh…sniffle…sneeze.
Enough complaining, because the birds are singing and the sales are good. The lightweight, ultra comfy joggers that make me feel like I can accomplish a weeks worth of to-do’s in one afternoon (no, seriously, they have a little bit of magic dust in them) are 40% off right now! The regular inseam is perfect for me, so anyone taller can take joy in trying the tall inseam (also avail in petite). My favorite Free People dupe is on sale in the red/white color, which would be perfect for cool summer nights (TTS, size up if you want a slouchy look). And SPEAKING of summer – these flip flops are perfect if you want just a touch of glam. I have the plain white and love the unique toe shape, plus they are minimal + comfy which makes them perfect for packing!
Jeans (28) | Sweatshirt (L)
ONE: It’s almost impossible to describe how amazing these jeans fit. I walked past them on multiple occasions when I was perusing through the store, because something about them on the hanger wasn’t grabbing me. But I grabbed them on a last whim, and was completely in awe once I pulled them on. They fit like an absolute glove – true to size, incredibly comfortable, and the regular inseam hovered just above the ground on me. I’ll be wearing these this weekend to celebrate Spring – aaaaand will repeat throughout all summer, too. Avail in a light and dark blue denim wash, too!
TWO: The coolest, most unique sweatshirt I’ve found in a loooong time is right under $30 once added to your cart! The side ties make it really fun and interesting, but the extra cozy neck cowl is what makes this one magical. The only catch is this extra 50% deal with Anthro is final sale, but if that doesn’t scare you the selection is AMAZING – I also want these comfy shorts and this linen top (which has matching bottoms, too).

It’s been tough the past couple of weeks. I’ve been sick and not feeling myself, so much that when my sister talked to Ron on the phone, she decided to come for a week and help while he was away. So grateful for that! She’s leaving tomorrow and I’m a little sad, but feel better after her care and presence.
Style-wise, unless I have calls with clients, I’ve been living in all my Nike Phoenix pieces: wide-leg sweatpants, a sweatshirt I own in two colors, sweatshorts, and cozy wool socks.
Joggers (S) l Dress (S)
ONE: Feeling down, the last thing I wanted to do was getting dressed. But we had my mother-in-law’s birthday, and these Cinq a Sept joggers were perfect to feel like a million bucks and comfortable. I wore it with a mesh animal print top, and a light wool coat on top. Felt amazing! These joggers come in different colors and they’re some of the most versatile pants I own — on sale in ‘Apricot‘, under $200.
TWO: Saks’ Friends and Family sale is perfect to get those extra special pieces for less. This Farm Rio dress is stunning and I’m obsessed with the colors for my complexion, but there are so many great pieces like this lavender top I’d wear to dress up shorts, or this cotton dress to feel like a goddess.

Hi friends! Happy Easter Weekend! We have my in-laws coming into town any minute, so today’s a mix of housekeeping and grocery shopping and preparing for this weekend’s meals and festivities. For anyone who was desperate to know how our school auction went last weekend – I did not end up buying my own kid’s art (win win!!) but DID end up buying, like, 15 other things I didn’t at all intend to, haha. Whoops. Hashtag drinking.
And sales this weekend – dang, they’re good again, which isn’t great for ya olde budget but does always send me into the weekend with a little pep in my step. (Retail therapy is real, folks.) Anthro’s extra 50% off sale is tops, of course. This MOTHER jacket has been on my radar for a while and I can’t believe it’s still around. Saks extended their Friends & Family event and the braided waistband on these has me super intrigued. And when did Abercrombie’s swim selection become so compelling? Pretty, minimal designs in gorgeous colors and textures (loving this set, especially). I’m there.
