What You’ll Need

Here are the ingredients you’ll need to make this delicious baked French Toast at home. See the recipe card located at the bottom of the post for full instructions.

  • Loaf of Brioche– Find brioche bread in the bakery section of most grocery stores. If you can’t find it, you can use Italian or French bread too.
  • Large Eggs– For consistency, I use large eggs for my cooking and baking.
  • heavy whipping cream– Heavy whipping cream is used to make the egg base that gets added to the bread pieces.
  • Brown Sugar– Brown sugar gives the cinnamon roll sweetness.
  • Ground Cinnamon– Cinnamon is the perfect spice used for cinnamon roll recipes.
  • Pure Vanilla Extract– For best tasting results, use pure vanilla.
  • Kosher Salt– Kosher salt is a coarse salt commonly used in cooking and baking.
  • Melted Butter– For most of my recipes I use salted butter, unsalted is fine too.
  • Cream Cheese, Softened– Use full fat cream cheese for the recipe. It’s used to make the frosting.
  • Powdered Sugar– Also called confectioners sugar, this fine sugar is used to make the frosting.
  • Milk– I use 2% milk, it’s used in the frosting.
