A first full trailer for the upcoming LEGO DREAMZzz animated YouTube TV show has dropped, taking a deep dive into the new fantasy theme.
The LEGO Group revealed an all-new theme yesterday, with 11 LEGO DREAMZzz sets launching on August 1, 2023, that will take builders on a journey from the waking world into an imaginative fantasy realm. In addition to physical models, the theme will also be supported by an animated TV show which will be available worldwide (for free) on YouTube from May 15.
A total of 10 episodes will be released on that date, with the LEGO Group confirming that more will be coming from August 2023. Now a first trailer for the original series has dropped online and can be viewed on the official LEGO DREAMZzz landing page or via a number of YouTube fan channels.
Clocking in at over two minutes, the trailer introduces the main LEGO DREAMZzz concept, revealing how the show jumps from the real world into the dream realm, featuring many of the upcoming theme’s recently-revealed sets. It also appears that Mateo, Izzie, Cooper, Logan and Zoey can step into each other’s dreams while they’re sleeping and have all sorts of adventures, even gaining the ability to combine various elements in the fantasy land to create new objects – referred to as dream crafting.
Interestingly, a version of Mr. Oz also seems to exist in both worlds, as both a science teacher at the kids’ school and as the driver of the Spacebus in the dream dimension. In addition, the trailer pushes the idea that almost anything can be created in the LEGO DREAMZzz realm, if you have enough imagination. If that doesn’t sound impressive enough, Mr. Oz’s chimpanzee sidekick, Albert, also has the ability to speak… and who doesn’t like talking simians?
